Passo del Tonale - Italy
Sporting Hotel
Year of realization: 2019
Hotel Sporting was built in 1980 on the mountain pass Tonale and originates from a three brothers’ dream belonging to the Delpero family; even today, passion, tenacity and unity are the keystones of this structure. In 2018, the project for the renovation of some premises and the expansion of the hotel facility began to meet the needs of families and young people who want to have fun. In a short time, an indoor water park and a ski bar directly on the ski slopes were built.
For the realization of a dream that speaks of tradition and innovation, beblaze was chosen to design and supply the entire lighting.
Gazana Bar is the name of the new ski-bar located directly at the ski slopes. It is a unique structure of its kind: a hexagonal complex built entirely of wood with large exposed logs which, due to its particularity, requires specific solutions.
For general lighting and above the bar, two different types of spotlights from the Prolux brand were used, the PLED5020 pendant and PLED4273 ceiling models, which, with their simple, rounded lines, blend in perfectly with the sinuous shapes of the exposed logs. Round RGBW products have been installed recessed into the floor, which in addition to white light are used to color and liven up the club’s evening parties.
In the central bar area, between the wooden beams, very special lighting fixtures from the ILLINE collection are installed: ILL_RECTANGLE LARGE in RGB+W version, with custom adjustable brackets specially designed for this request and a 30° beam angle that, through DMX control, animates the club with unique scenographies to the rhythm of music. Nichia LEDs were chosen for all RGB+W products because of their incomparable color intensity.
Behind the glass windows of the bar, there is a unique wooden spiral staircase, each step is illuminated by a very thin and elegant light line, also from the ILLINE collection, ILL_SQUARE SMALL 2. A profile also suitable for installations requiring a high IP and impact resistance.
Going up the staircase, one enters the panoramic area. Indirect lighting is chosen with a 180° beam angle, in order to leave room for relaxation and the surrounding nature. Custom linear luminaires emphasize the importance and distinctiveness of the beams, both seen from inside, but also from outside in darkness, through the large windows.
The lighting in the dining and self-service rooms is completely unrelated to the themes proposed above, but still seeks a combination of originality and functionality of the premises.
In the self-service area, was opted for a more traditional luminaire arrangement, while in the restaurant rooms the ‘shanghai’ theme gave way to more artistic and creative lighting. For both installations, a pendant product from the ILLINE collection was chosen, ILL_RECTANGLE LARGE with high CRI in both single and bi-emission versions to emphasize the importance of the exposed ceiling.
For the water park, both the main area as well as the stairs and corridors, beblaze thought of lighting that recalls the shapes and theme of play. Thus, luminaires from the BE_BRIGHT range were chosen, from the CIRCLE family. For greater rhythmicity, different diameters were used, creating a pleasant suspended composition. The products used have, already in the standard version, a very high IP degree that allows them to be used in wet environments, a characteristic that, combined with the very high power, makes them particularly suitable for these installations.
