Il Nido (The Nest) was born from the need to give new life to a crumbling terrace on the side of the road that crosses the mountain village of Dossena in the province of Bergamo; an opportunity to turn an urban relic into a relational space, returning it to the community as a resting and meeting point.<\/p>\n
Beblaze made Architect Oberti’s project possible, supporting the custom development of the lighting fixtures, both in the design and construction phases, to achieve the desired effect from a lighting engineering point of view and to emphasize the concept that \u201cIl Nido\u201d represents: a safe refuge that calms and revives us, a living space on a human scale.<\/p>\n
This concept is even more emphasized after dusk, when light leaves \u201cIl Nido\u201d in darkness and transforms it into a quiet and cozy place: the night becomes an unparalleled opportunity to enjoy \u201cIl Nido\u201d in a different way as the light shows images, glimpses and views that are unimaginable during the day. Lighting becomes an aesthetic enhancement factor, creating scenes that excite.<\/p>\n
To emphasizes the essential design of the round, enveloping yet precise and rigorous geometric shapes, a lighting solution was developed that would hide and integrate the lighting fixtures. To do this, it was necessary to insert the light into the existing elements, positioning it in such a way as to achieve functional and at the same time impressive lighting.<\/p>\n
The only way was to modify the circular section tubes by providing a laser-cut recess and preparing them for insertion into the ILL_CIRCLE LARGE 2 OUT<\/strong> product.<\/p>\n Through the realization of special accessories, it was possible to integrate it so that only the part of the lighting surface remains visible, while still ensuring easy maintenance.
